Rain a problem for termite treatments
Correct applications of chemicals is key for treating termites.
The chemicals used for treatment of termites are in liquid form. When moisture (rain) is present, the ground is saturated with water already. This is a problem when trying to apply a chemical to the ground for absorption and treatment of termites.
In order to effectively treat, the ground must be free of moisture. The Nebraska Dept. of Agriculture says, “You must follow the label when applying these treatments.” The label requires that no moisture present when treating.
